Exela Ventures leads development projects in Guatemala and organizes learning expeditions to Guatemala for U.S. and Canadian universities and high schools. Its development projects range from selling pinatas and salsa to building medial clinics, and its learning expeditions have a social entrepreneurship, volunteer, language and culture, medical, or business theme. Since its establishment in 2009, it has led over 180 students to Guatemala and worked on projects with dozens of NGOs and other charities. The goal of Exela Ventures is to fight social ills and inequality in Guatemala through social entrepreneurship.
