Become a Bayada Hospice Volunteer in Tucson AZ and make a difference in the lives of our hospice patients and loved ones. With our personal training, ongoing support, and the network of fellow volunteers and professional staff, you’ll be deeply rewarded by personally making a difference in someone’s final days.
As a Bayada Hospice Volunteer, you’ll be working with a team of physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, and spiritual counselors to provide essential care that addresses the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of our patients. Your role in this vital team might be to provide companionship, support patients in recording legacy memories, read, assist with an outdoor walk, listen to music, do a craft project, do some baking, hold a hand, simply listen, or provide respite for weary caregivers and loved ones who simply need a short break to take a walk, have a coffee and chat with a friend, run to the grocery, or just sit quietly in their backyard.
As Ram Dass said, "We're all just walking each other home." Be a partner to someone in their final journey.
