Handmade by traditional artisans in Laos from upcycled war shrapnel and scrap, each piece of ARTICLE22 sustainable jewelry is transformed into a symbol of love and light. Each piece is a modern heirloom - an actual piece of history redesigned with intention - that inspires action toward our future, individually and collectively. 

All purchases contribute to the safe clearance of some of the 80 million unexploded bombs contaminating land in Laos through our collaboration with the nonprofit MAG America.  

As a social enterprise, we reinvest a majority of our profits to achieve sustainability, grow our reach and ensure the fulfillment of our mission. Named after Article 22 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states everyone's right to social, economic, and cultural security, ARTICLE22 makes real impact through trade not aid by connecting local artisans to the global market and donating to MAG (Mines Advisory Group) to clear over 5.5 million square feet of bomb littered land in Laos including 450 unexploded bombs from the farmland of one artisan family in Laos.
