At the center of hospice is the belief that each of us has the right to die pain free, with dignity, and that our families will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so. Gentiva Hospice's mission is to honor life and offer compassion to individuals and their families when facing a life-limiting illness.

Our goals include always treating our families with respect, always honoring our families' care wishes, to provide the very best care, to meet all spiritual, social, and physical needs through our services, and to make the hospice experience honorable and meaningingful for our families. Hospice volunteers are an essential part of providing support, and the process is mutually rewarding and beneficial for both volunteer and recipient. Volunteers are carefully vetted and undergo comprehensive training to learn about the hospice philosophy, relating to families' experiences and how to best contribute to care.
