Our mission is to increase Frontline Workers’ access to professional opportunities. We work everyday so all candidates are given the same opportunity when applying for a job, in a way they're evaluated on their actual fit for that job, trying to eliminate any recruiter bias.
Frontline Workers are a 2.7 billion population who make up 80% of the world’s workforce. Yet the way they access professional opportunities and growth is extremely limited because of the lack of a proper infrastructure for them to do so. They are digitally invisible, insofar as there’s little to no data available on who they are, their career history, or their skill set. Plus, they don’t have a good toolset to help them access the best professional opportunities out there for them, and grow professionally over time.
Frontline Workers are digitally invisible because no one has yet taken the time to get to know them. They are the people who work at factories producing essential goods, the ones who ship and deliver the groceries, who operate convenience stores and gas stations. They’re the ones who, even when conditions are tough, still show up to do the work that keeps the world spinning. Yet, they are also the first to be laid off when hard times strike. They have different life stories and abilities: they have families to support, studies to get completed, dreams to fulfill. Most are not on LinkedIn, because they don't know what LinkedIn is or how to use it, probably because it wasn't built for them. Some don't even have access to computers.
We believe the best way to get to know these workers and help them become visible is to talk to them. Today it is easier than ever to start a conversation since the world has irreversibly gone mobile, chat is at the center of mobile, and most people know how to chat. Conversations not only generate valuable data but, most importantly, build relationships and trust. By talking to Frontline Workers and building their data, we can help them become visible and connect them to the best professional opportunities.
But building Frontline Workers’ data is just the first step, since data is useless without the right tools to consume it. A new toolset needs to be built to help employers find and select the best people for the frontline jobs they need to fill. And a new toolset is also necessary for Frontline Workers to know that these opportunities exist, and get to choose what’s the best one for them. Within the next few decades, Frontline Workers will also experience deep changes in how they work as labor markets evolve and become more digital, so they will also definitely need tools and support to help them find a quick and seamless way to transition to new types of work.
In the future, Frontline Workers will be visible and have the tools available to help them grow professionally. Opportunities for all workers will increase and labor markets will become more efficient. Technological conditions are already given for this transformation to begin. We’ll make this future a reality.
