Transitions Care - Peoria

Providing companionship to patients who are at end of life meaning life 6 months or less, we also have administrative positions for office assistance. Volunteers are required to volunteer at least 4 hours per month. Our volunteers are a valuable part of our organization the companionship they provide to our patients when they show up to talk, play a game of checkers, cards or read a book, listen to music with them or just have a conversation let them share their stories. In some cases it's just the presence of a caring touch holding their hand while they sleep. Our volunteers have the choice for vigil sittings as well as our organization provides vigil sittings for every patient as we believe "NO ONE SHOULD DIE ALONE".
