Alliance Hospice Care

Hospice is a special way of caring for people with life-limiting illness. Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families and manages symptoms such as pain and nauseas. Help helps patients live as fully and comfortably as possible, and provides support to the entire family.

You as volunteer will work with hospice team to create an individual care plan to provide the most appropriate care and support for the hospice patient and family during the final phase of illness. Hospice volunteers play a vital role. Following a comprehensive and cost free training program, volunteers provide invaluable patient focused companionship, family assistance, bereavement outreach or administrative support with a time commitment of just a few hours a week. No special skills or education are required, only a generosity of heart. The personal rewards invariably outweigh the contributions they make.
