International Fieldwork Course in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest

The International Field Course offers an immersive, hands-on experience in the Amazon Rainforest, focused on teaching ecological sampling techniques across a range of highly biodiverse groups. Guided by experienced biologists, participants will receive in-depth training at the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve (RFAD), the most extensively studied tropical research area in the world. RFAD has been systematically monitored for over 30 years and features well-maintained trails and long-term ecological plots.

Participants will have the option to sleep in hammocks or beds. Nutritious and diverse meals will be provided, including traditional Amazonian dishes and native fruits, offering both a cultural and ecological immersion.

The course is led by researchers with extensive scientific and field expertise. All instruction will be conducted in English, with multilingual support to ensure accessibility for international participants.
