The Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) is seeking experienced prosecutors for the Public Integrity Bureau (PIB) in the Syracuse office. PIB investigates and prosecutes crimes committed by public employees, elected officials, candidates for public office, and people and entities that steal from the government. Prosecutors with PIB handle complex, long-term investigations into government corruption, fraud, bribery and abuse of authority. PIB investigates and brings criminal charges against public servants and others who engage in corruptive practices. PIB attorneys may also work on real estate frauds with our Real Estate Enforcement Unit. PIB handles matters from the initial allegation through to settlement, plea, or trial. PIB consists of attorneys, detectives, auditors, and analysts.
Qualifications:
Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York state and be admitted to practice law in New York state. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that OAG attorneys be citizens of the United States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.
