    Join the Department of Health Services as a Homelessness Services Program Planning and Evaluation Analyst, and optimize grants and programs to improve Homelessness Services.

    The Department of Health Services (DHS) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Homelessness Services Program Planning and Evaluation Analyst (PPEA) to support planning, grant development, and data evaluation efforts for our Homelessness Services Division. This position will play a key role in securing funding, monitoring program outcomes, and supporting data-informed decision-making to help address homelessness in our community. Reporting directly to the SOUL (Solving Obstacles for Unsheltered Lives) Program Manager, this position will work both independently on key projects and collaboratively with various DHS departments, external stakeholders, and leadership.

    The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical abilities, subject matter expertise, and interpersonal skills. They will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across departments, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A passion for details and a deep understanding of systems that support vulnerable populations is essential.

      • Salary Advancement A salary increase after 1,040 hours (6 months when working full-time) for good work performance; eligibility for a salary increase for good performance every year thereafter, until reaching the top of the salary range

          Retirement - A pension fully integrated with Social Security

          • Incentive Retirement Savings Plan (IRSP) and 457 Voluntary Deferred Compensation 3% of salary County contribution to a 401(a), in addition to the County matching up to 1% of base salary in 401(a), based upon employee contribution

          Paid Parental Leave - May be eligible for up to 8 weeks (320 hours) after 12 months of County employment

            Student Loan Debt Relief – County employees may be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the U.S. Department of Education
