WRCOG is the Area Agency on Aging (AAA)/ Aging Disability Resource Center for the Older Americans Act Program in the Region. The AAA’s principal function is to plan a comprehensive and coordinated system of delivering services for senior citizens. Among our many services are the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and the Senior Medicare Patrol Program (SMP).

Our SHIP Program’s goal is to provide unbiased, timely and accurate information about Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, Medicaid and other insurance related inquiries to beneficiaries enabling them to make informed decisions about their health needs. Our SMP Program's goal is to empower and increase public awareness by reaching Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries educating them about healthcare fraud and consumer protection; manages beneficiary inquiries and complaints in a timely manner and finally enhancing volunteer recruitment through the utilization of Social Media, PSAs and other forms of advertisements.
