It is the mission of the Smith County Volunteer Program to strive for excellence by providing a method by which County citizens can provide service to the community through volunteering their time and efforts to different departments throughout the County

The Smith County Volunteer Program is in place to fill the needs of Smith County with quality volunteers that want to make a positive impact on our community. Our goal is to have volunteers working with every department in Smith County to increase community pride. "Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in." - author unknown
