  • Misión

The goal of the Juvenile Services Mentoring Program is to match volunteer adult mentors with youth who are at risk to reoffend. The aim of these matches is improving youth academic performance and reducing truancy and criminal behavior, particularly drug related crimes.

    Acerca de

The Juvenile Services Mentoring Program is designed to match volunteers in the community with youth ages 11-18, who are on probation with Kitsap County Juvenile and Family Court Services. We ask for a one year commitment but often the mentor and mentee opt to continue their match past a year. Volunteers are asked to spend an average of one hour per week with the youth, with at least one contact per week (when possible). Sometimes the contact can be through other means than face-to-face. Emailing, instant messaging, texting and phone calls are some ways to keep mentoring relationship consistent. This commitment can make a big difference in the life of a youth.

Find out how you can be the person who makes the difference and learn how the benefits extend far beyond the youth and positively change the life of the mentor.
