Shalom Task Force (STF) seeks to combat and prevent domestic violence in the Jewish community to help those that may not have access to traditional services and need culturally sensitive programming.
The Legal Department of Shalom Task Force provides trauma-informed, confidential, free legal services to victim-survivors of domestic abuse in the areas of matrimonial, family and domestic violence related immigration law. STF Lawyers empower victim-survivors through skilled, comprehensive, culturally responsive, compassionate, and effective legal assistance. STF legal services include assisting clients in navigating the religious court system (Beth Din) alongside civil legal proceedings, ensuring that clients receive integrated support. The Legal Department provides ongoing case consultation, full representation and safety planning. The Department coordinates closely with a network of social service agencies to provide targeted referrals. The Department is composed of a close and collaborative team of four attorneys and two paralegal/victim-advocates, who work together to provide responsive and client-centered services.
Shalom Task Force seeks a full-time paralegal/ victim-advocate who is passionate, resourceful, independent, and compassionate. The paralegal/ victim advocate is an integral part of our fast-paced and collegial team.

We are currently working on a hybrid schedule and require at least three days per week in the office. The salary range is between $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 commensurate with experience.
