FSC Investments & Partnerships (FSC I&P) is seeking a Development and Grants Manager. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work on global fundraising campaigns, while also helping ensure successful attainment, management and delivery on restricted gifts and grants. The Development and Grant Manager role is full-time and reports to FSC I&P’s Chief of Staff & Operations. Remote work is possible in this role.

Working alongside the global Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) network and the International Secretariat in Bonn, Germany, FSC I&P supports the mission of Forests for All Forever.
FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. We aim to protect biodiversity, promote Indigenous rights, and support the world’s transition to equitable climate resilience.
About the Position
We are looking for a mission-driven team player with experience in fundraising, grant writing and project management, especially in the context of sustainability, environmental justice, sustainable finance, nature-based solutions and/or international development. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in the full fundraising cycle, from prospecting and engagement to proposal writing, and grant management and reporting to donor cultivation. This position will serve as a key liaison between FSC I&P and its partners and donors, ensuring seamless communication, rigorous grant compliance, and timely reporting. This role will be primarily focused on institutional grants management, campaign coordination, and development.
You will be successful in this role if you are highly organized and detail oriented, are skilled at building internal and external relationships, enjoy seeing projects through, can effectively manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, and are able to translate complex concepts into simplified content.

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and regional market rates, and in the range of $58,000 to $75,000 annually based on a 40-hour work week. FSC Investments & Partnerships maintains a competitive and generous benefits package including premium health and dental insurance, optional health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, disability and life insurance, safe harbor 401k retirement savings plan with 3% employer contribution, 10 paid holidays, and 31 days annually of paid time off (vacation, floating holidays and paid sick leave).
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
FSC I&P is based in Seattle, Washington. Remote work is possible. Local staff have a hybrid set-up, with full access to an office in a co-working space in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Travel is moderate.
The employee will spend most working hours in an indoor office environment and may be subjected to moderate noise. This position will require occasional travel to internal or external events, which may be indoors or outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, or speak for extended periods of time and spend full days using their hands to operate a computer. The employee will need to occasionally work hours that accommodate colleagues in time zones around the world.
