VOTER OUTREACH WORKER (PART-TIME)
C4C Oakland Action, Inc. is immediately hiring paid canvassers to get out the vote for the June 2nd election support. This is an opportunity to be part of a high-impact local effort to engage Oakland voters and build grassroots power.
Position Overview
The Voter Outreach Worker is a 22-hour/week paid position responsible for direct voter outreach in Oakland. Canvassers will go door-to-door to identify, persuade, and mobilize supporters of the Yes on Measure E ballot campaign. The campaign ends on June 2nd.
Key Responsibilities
- Canvass Oakland voters through door-to-door outreach - up to 4 hours per shift
- Clearly communicate key messages about Measure E
- Identify and record supporter data using campaign tools - must bring a fully charged cell phone for each shift
- Engage voters in respectful, informative conversations
- Meet daily and weekly voter contact goals
- Identify at least 5 “Yes” supporters (Yes IDs) per hour in the field
- Attend trainings and team check-ins; receive and integrate feedback on performance
Schedule
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays: 3:00 PM – 8 PM
- Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Total: 22 hours per week
- Commitment to making all scheduled shifts is a top consideration in this hiring process
Compensation
- $30/hour
- Paid biweekly
Supervision
This position reports directly to the Organizing Director.
