Reston for a Lifetime seeks a communications consultant who will write and edit our free monthly newsletter, manage our website, social media, public relations and support our development activities. The consultant is a part-time, contractor position that reports to the President. The position is mainly remote and hours are flexible. Excellent verbal and written communications skills essential as are strong organizational, time and project management skills. Proficiency with various online platforms such as Microsoft Office, Square Space or MailChimp as well as prior nonprofit experience helpful. A background or interest in aging preferred. Reston/Fairfax County residency is required.
We do not offer benefits, withholding of taxes, Social Security or Medicare payments. We will reimburse travel or other expenses subject to prior approval.
