About the Role
Science Club for Girls (SCFG), a Cambridge-based non-profit established in 1994, is seeking a Marketing & Content Producer to join our growing team! SCFG is dedicated to empowering girls and gender-expansive youth underrepresented in STEM fields by providing hands-on learning, mentorship, and access to professional opportunities. Our mission is to foster confidence, excitement, and literacy in STEM through community-focused programming and to promote diversity in the STEM workforce.
We’re looking for a doer. Someone who can show up to an event with a camera or phone, quietly observe when needed, engage when appropriate, and capture powerful, authentic content — whether it’s short-form video, a candid interview, or compelling b-roll. You know how to make people feel comfortable, ask the right questions, and bring out real moments that tell a story.
You have a sharp eye for design, a strong storytelling instinct, and the technical skills to turn raw content into a polished Instagram Reel, blog post, or visual asset that drives action — donations, volunteer signups, corporate sponsorships, and more. You’re fluent in online trends, understand what moves people emotionally, and can tailor content across platforms.
You’re also a detail-oriented systems thinker. You’re comfortable using platforms like Salesforce, Asana, and Mailchimp — not just to execute, but to strategize. You know how to manage and segment a large database, and how to turn data insights into targeted, effective campaigns.
You’re always looking to improve digital engagement, whether through SEO, understanding user behavior, or testing new ideas to increase impact.
You’re a team player who’s comfortable collaborating across departments — but you also know how to take initiative and run with a project independently. At Science Club for Girls, we value curiosity, creativity, and a shared commitment to equity. If you’re someone who brings both heart and hustle to your work, you’ll fit right in.
