Tutor – Small Group Instruction (K–12)

Southeast Community Foundation seeks passionate, experienced individuals to provide small-group tutoring to K–12 students in LAUSD schools multiple times per week. This is an excellent opportunity for certified teachers, college graduates, retired teachers, substitute teachers, and paraprofessionals.

Job Details

• Pay: $25–$31 per hour (DOE)
• Schedule: Between 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
• Subject: ELA
• Location: We are currently hiring for Los Angeles 90003
• Status: Part-time
• Program Dates: Immediate start for training. From early-mid November.

Qualifications

• BA or BS required (Teaching credential preferred)
• Ability to confidently teach up to 12th grade, specifically Math and ELA
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience in ELA and Math strongly preferred
• Experience in planning and delivering instruction to small groups preferred
• Must have or be able to obtain TB clearance and pass a LiveScan background check (costs covered by SCF)
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for students
