    Position Summary

    The High School Program Coordinator will oversee the strategy, partnership development, and evaluation of Beyond the Arc, a city-wide College and Career Readiness Program designed specifically for alumni of The3PointFoundation. This role is responsible for leading a hybrid initiative that increases college enrollment, enhances workforce readiness, and fosters a supportive alumni network for youth in neighborhoods such as Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, and Hyde Park. The ideal candidate is an innovative builder and partner who can navigate the post-secondary landscape to ensure our alumni achieve long-term success. This position has direct reports and will be supervised by the Program Director (PD).

    General Objectives of this Role

    • Leading the design, goal-setting, implementation, and evaluation of the Beyond the Arc program.
    • Increasing college enrollment and completion rates among 3Point alumni.
    • Enhancing alumni readiness for the professional workforce through skill development and internship placement.
    • Developing a strong, supportive alumni network in high school and beyond.
    • Acting as the lead in communications for the program, sharing impact stories with supporters and families.

    Responsibilities

    Program Design, Strategy & Evaluation

    • Collaborate with the PD to develop and cultivate strategic partnerships with local colleges, universities, businesses, and community organizations.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of a hybrid delivery model, including in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and one-on-one meetings.
    • Oversee and develop tools to assess program effectiveness, tracking data on college visits, internship placements, and student attendance.
    • Lead the strategy for program components such as academic/career planning, financial aid navigation, and workplace readiness.

    Program Logistics

    • Manage the recruitment efforts for students.
    • Oversee the development of a centralized hub (physical space) for alumni to access resources and support.
    • Manage and support the training of staff and volunteers to implement curriculum for participants across various sites.
    • Oversee monitoring and compliance with safety regulations and develop necessary safety protocols.
    • Coordinate transportation plans for students to and from college visits or professional events.

    Program Communications & Staff Development

    • Supervise and support the College & Career Counselors
    • Curate professional development opportunities for staff in areas like college counseling, youth mentorship, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
    • Build relationships with families through ongoing coordination and troubleshooting of student/family challenges.
    • Maintain a consistent presence at program sites and in the office as a member of the leadership team.

    Qualifications

    • At least 2-3 years of experience working to develop and implement youth-oriented programming, with specific expertise in college and career readiness.
    • Expertise in college counseling, career development, and youth mentorship.
    • Demonstrated competency working with families of different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds in Boston.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
    • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaboratively as needed.
    • Proficiency with online systems: Google Workspace and relevant tracking software.
    • Valid driver’s license and access to a car for site visits. Ability to drive the 3Point Bus, as needed.
