Position description:
The Organizer will serve as the primary organizing professional for Opportunity Arizona and will report to the Political and Advocacy Manager. They will be responsible for forming and cultivating existing relationships with individuals, businesses, partner organizations, and other community members to engage them with Opportunity Arizona’s grassroots work and connect them with opportunities to interface with decision makers through public hearings, community events and phone calls. Organizing efforts will be focused in Maricopa County, but will also include engaging with individuals across the state. This position will include executing grassroots organizing tactics in collaboration with coalition partner organizations on utility rate-setting and affordability issues impacting Arizonans.

This is a full-time position. This position is grant-based until the end of May 2027, and may be extended upon organizational evaluation. Work on evenings and weekends will be required. Paid Time Off is earned for every hour worked over 40 hours a week. The position is in person. In-state travel will be necessary. Previous organizing experience (at least one year or one election cycle) is required. Compensation will be $53,000 to $61,300 annually, contingent on experience. Benefits include:
