About IMPACT Silver Spring:
IMPACT Silver Spring is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 that brings diverse people together to create successful communities for everyone through relationship building, leadership development, and collective action.
As part of this work, IMPACT Soccer provides free recreational soccer and enrichment opportunities for low income and immigrant families. Position overview:
We are seeking a relationship driven and organized individual to serve as IMPACT’s part time Sports Coordinator. This role coordinates the day to day implementation of the soccer program while using sports as a space for relationship building, family engagement, and community connection.
Most work occurs during evening practices and weekend games, making this role well suited for someone balancing other professional commitments. Working collaboratively with other IMPACT staff, this position helps ensure that relationships and opportunities emerging through soccer strengthen broader community connection and engagement.

- Administrative Coordination: Track registration, attendance, program participation, and required documentation to ensure smooth program operations and contractual compliance.
- Inventory: Prepare an inventory of all equipment before and at the end of each season.
Family Engagement & Community Connection
- Relationship Building: Use practices, games, and related activities as spaces for relationship building with children, caregivers, coaches, and community members.
- Caregiver Engagement: Create opportunities for caregivers to connect with one another, participate in program activities, and strengthen relationships within their communities.
- Community Listening: Listen for community priorities, barriers, interests, and emerging opportunities through ongoing engagement with participating families.
- Pathway Building: Help create opportunities for families to connect with broader leadership opportunities, community initiatives, and programs when relevant.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Cross Team Coordination: Work closely with the Network Builder Coordinator and other staff to strengthen pathways between soccer families and broader community opportunities.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain organized records, share updates, communicate program successes and challenges, and document engagement activities.
