    Church Office & Facilities Manager

    General Description

    The Church Office & Facilities Manager plans, provides, and coordinates office support and oversees the care and use of facilities (building and grounds) in order to support the mission of Park Boulevard Presbyterian Church. This is a 18 hour per week position. The schedule for the position is 9:00am-1:30pm, Monday through Thursday . There may be work outside these hours, which will be communicated in advance. The Church Office & Facilities Manager demonstrates a cheerful, willing and flexible approach to task completion and problem solving, performing as a team player at all times.

    Accountability

    Accountable to the Senior Pastor as Head of Staff.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    In conjunction with the Senior Pastor, determines work priorities and may assign specific functions to volunteer workers. The Church Office Manager is the first line of communication and maintains the office environment in a positive, efficient, orderly, and attractive manner; the Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance of safe and clean church facilities.

    1. Provides administrative support to the Senior Pastor as needed.
    2. Provides administrative support to the church wide congregation.
    3. Supervises Church Handyman in prioritizing work and repairs.
    4. Maintains church website and Social Media accounts, keeping information updated and accurate.
    5. Maintains and updates the church calendar, scheduling events and facility rentals, and ensures all information is accurate and up to date.
    6. Answers the telephone and doorbell promptly and courteously, and routes communications appropriately.
    7. Works with staff and session to maintain and update church records and files.
    8. Prepares the Annual Report for the Annual Congregational Meeting.
    9. Coordinates maintenance of office equipment and furnishings and is responsible for purchasing office, custodial, and kitchen supplies in a cost-effective manner.
    10. Gives input to the preparation of the annual budget for office and facilities expenses.
    11. Coordinates and supervises janitorial services.
    12. Coordinates and supervises maintenance for all church facilities, including purchase of supplies for gardening, janitorial, and other maintenance, in coordination with the Building and Grounds Elder.
    13. Coordinates and supervises repairs as needed for plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, structural, etc., throughout the church facilities.
    14. Coordinates and supervises all workers on facilities, both paid and volunteer.
    15. Schedules and prepares for annual inspections by the Fire Department.
    16. Coordinates requests for building use from outside organizations.
    17. Manages the administration of building users/tenants, including applications, screening, setting fees, collecting appropriate documents, fee collection, etc., as well as maintaining positive ongoing relationships with building users.
    18. Coordinates set-up and take-down for church events and events by outside organizations, when appropriate.
    19. Oversees the Door ministry and Emergency Assistance Fund.
    20. Attends Staff meetings and relevant trainings.
    21. Ensures building is in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    22. Other duties as assigned.
    23. Must be comfortable with Office 365 and G Suite applications.
    24. Must be comfortable with stairs and able to lift 25 lbs.

    Schedule

    18/hours a week

    Monday - Thursday 9:00am-1:30pm

    Compensation Range

    $25-$33/hour based on experience
