    transforms the lives of vulnerable children in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador,

    Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Peru. Together, we help children overcome

    poverty and become productive, caring leaders in their own communities. Founded in 1954 by

    Father William Wasson, NPH is supporting nearly 7,000 children, both inside and outside our

    homes, ensuring they have a safe and nurturing place to live, an education, clothing, healthcare,

    and a strong family support system. In addition, NPH’s St. Damien Pediatric Hospital employs more

    than 500 Haitians and is the only hospital wholly dedicated to pediatric and prenatal care in Haiti, a

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Donor Relations Officer builds and expands relationships with new andexisting donors to support the work of NPH International. Within our donor-centered culture, you will manage a portfolio of 80-120 donorsand prospects, meetingpersonally with donorswhenever possible.

    Your portfolio will include individuals, foundations, businesses, and other organizations. You will support the fundraising activity of Board members in the Southwest Area, identify potential new donors, support Area fundraising events,and both coordinate and accompany donors on visitsto our NPH homes.

    PRIORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Underthe guidance and direction of Sr. Donor Relations Officer, this position will develop and enhance new and existing donor relationships in the following ways:

    • Increase the annual givingof donor portfolioconsistent with assignedgoals.
    • Manage a portfolio advancingrelationships with 80-120 donors and prospective supporters in order to meet and exceed fundraising goal.
    • Cultivate relationships and solicit new and renewedgifts from investors capable of making annual/major/planned gifts $5,000+ utilizing the moves-management process.
    • Travel throughout assigned region to make prospectand donor exploratory, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship visits.
    • Assure that all interactions with donors and prospects are recorded withinthe donor database.
    • Research prospective donors and developdonor strategies to engage and acquire new donors.
    • Move potential donors in a timely fashiontowards solicitation and closure.
    • Develop meaningful opportunities for stewarding donors.
    • Solicit new and renewed gifts for various event partnerships.
    • Execute various event tasks as assigned.
    • Work with volunteers to assist in engaging and cultivating donorsas appropriate.
    • Attend NPH events, and travel to NPH homesas required and/oras requested.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Five or more yearsof successful nonprofit fundraising experience in annual/major/planned gift solicitation and portfolio management
    • A provenrecord securing major gifts
    • A detail-oriented team collaborator who can translate strategy into results
    • Superb relationship management, interpersonal, digital,written and oral communication skills
    • The abilityto inspire, positively influence and engagevolunteers and donors
    • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to maintain timelyand complete recordof activities, resultsand planned follow up
    • Demonstrated abilityto handle sensitive, confidential information professionally
    • High energy and passionfor NPH USA’s mission
    • Knowledge and experience of Salesforce donor database and MS officeis preferred
    • Must be willing to travel locallyand internationally as required
    • Bachelor’s degree required
