    What You Will Do:

    The Salesforce Product Director will hold responsibility for product and architectural ownership of Salesforce Non Profit Cloud (NPC) and all associated Salesforce products (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Digital Engagement, Experience and Data Cloud, Mainstay, Graduway, and future planned integrated platforms) within Bottom Line. This includes hands-on technical oversight, decision-making influence, and helping to shape strategic direction to ensure that Bottom Line’s Salesforce solutions align with business objectives. This position will also manage the administration work within the Salesforce platform, currently done by contractual partners.

    The Product Director reports to the Chief Operating and Financial Officer and receives primary direction on Salesforce product responsibilities from the fractional Chief Technology and Data Officer.

    Salesforce Product Ownership

    • Define and prioritize product features (and related roadmap), enhancements, and requirements based on business needs.
    • Lead solution design sessions, and document solutions with architecture diagrams, data models, and interface specification.

    Backlog Management

    • Collaborate with cross functional teams on the governing product roadmap and maintenance of the product backlog, including prioritizing user stories and managing the overall roadmap for Salesforce and associated applications.
    • Coordinate with the Technical Product team to ensure product management of Salesforce is aligned with our approach to management of all products at Bottom Line.

    Salesforce Product Strategy

    • Synthesize strategic and operational input from across the organization (derived from executive leadership and staff, as well as Salesforce-driven updates).
    • Drive decision-making processes regarding feature prioritization, resource allocation, and changes to the product scope.

    Training and Support

    • Monitor the performance of Salesforce and associated applications, including analyzing user feedback and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the applications in meeting business goals.
    • Coordinate with training teams to provide access to regular and targeted training and support for Salesforce usage for all staff who require it.

    Change Management

    • Coordinate cross-functionally (with both executive leadership managers and peers) on change management efforts that support organization adoption of Salesforce platform functionality.
    • Ensure the specific context of how we use Salesforce at Bottom Line is deeply woven into any change management approach and thoughtfully considers who is involved in decisions, information sharing, and support.

    Compliance and Governance

    • Serve as lead for a newly established governance group, charged with ensuring the Salesforce platform maintains clear standards and scalable practices.
    • Support architectural best practices and data governance within the Salesforce ecosystem.
    • Conduct ongoing reviews in collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance and address any potential risks.

    Work Schedule:

    9:00a – 5:30p, with some flexibility around hours/schedule

    Expected Travel:

    Occasionally, typically 2-4 trips per year

    Who Should Apply:

    If you meet the qualifications below, you should apply.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and work authorization
    • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant, hands-on, technical experience with various Salesforce products including Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Salesforce Nonprofit platform using agile methodologies highly preferred
    • Solutions Architect certification highly preferred, with extensive experience with configuration and customization on the Salesforce platform
    • Salesforce experience in non-profit or education are a plus
    • Management experience highly preferred
    • Experience defining system architecture landscape and delivering comprehensive solutions
    • Experience leading discovery sessions and defining business requirements
    • Experience in education (particularly higher education) and/or nonprofit workplace preferred
    • Strong technical acumen
    • Comfort working with multiple senior leaders to facilitate smooth and effective decision making and change management/product implementation
    • Ability to take in disparate pieces of information and funnel them into a platform while preserving platform simplicity and effectiveness
    • Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate rationale to end users
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to connect with people in diverse roles
