World Cup Themed “Know Your Rights” Template Package

Organization: New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice (NJAIJ)

Location: Remote, with priority for artists with New Jersey ties

    Compensation: $1,500 flat fee

    Project Deadline: May 18th, 2026

    About Us

The New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice (NJAIJ) is a statewide coalition that fights for policies that empower and protect immigrants. We believe that everyone, regardless of immigration status, deserves to live with dignity and without fear.

    The Project

This year, New Jersey is proudly hosting matches for the 2026 World Cup. While this is an exciting moment for soccer fans worldwide, we also know that this mega-sporting event will be complicated by the presence of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents whom the federal government has designated as the "primary security apparatus" for the games.

NJAIJ currently holds a robust library of "Know Your Rights" (KYR) presentations and handouts that we use to train and empower community members. But to meet the moment, we want to visually revamp these educational materials. We are seeking a graphic or presentation designer to create a cohesive, World Cup-themed design template package. By swapping standard slide backgrounds for soccer-based motifs (like astroturf, netting, stadium seating) motifs or replacing traditional bullet point icons with soccer balls, we aim to capture the public's attention and make vital legal rights information resonant and engaging.

    Scope of Work & Deliverables

The chosen designer will not be responsible for writing any KYR content, but rather creating the visual scaffolding for our communications team to drop our existing text into. Deliverables include:

    Google Slides KYR Template Deck

    • Cover Slide: Featuring the NJAIJ logo and engaging title graphics.
    • Three (3) Content Slide Layouts: Distinct structural variations to accommodate different amounts of text, images, or bilingual content.
    • Closing "Keep In Touch" Slide: Designed for contact information and social media handles.

    Three (3) One-Pager Templates

    • Design three visually cohesive Canva template layouts for printed handouts/flyers.

    Digital Asset Toolkit

    • A shared folder containing the isolated graphical elements that may be used across the templates (e.g., high-resolution PNGs/SVGs of backgrounds, sports icons, borders, etc.) so our communications team can replicate the branding for additional materials as needed.

The chosen designer will be given access to existing NJAIJ logos and brands to incorporate into designs however they see fit.

    Timeline

    • Kickoff: Immediate
    • Review Rounds: To be scheduled based on availability but starting no later than May 11th.
    • Final Deliverables Due: May 18, 2026.

    Compensation & Usage Rights

    • Budget: We are offering a flat fee of $1,500 for the completion of the template package and asset delivery.
    • Rights: Upon final payment, the rights to the templates and design assets will be fully transferred to NJAIJ for unlimited, internal, and external use. The artist will retain the right to display the template designs in their professional portfolio.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience in graphic design, layout design, and presentation formatting.
    • Proficiency in Google Slides and Canva and creating highly usable, accessible templates for non-designers.
    • A strong portfolio showcasing clean, legible typography and creative use of thematic elements.
    • Ability to receive feedback and meet strict deadlines.
    • A shared commitment to immigrant justice and liberation. (Artists with lived experience in immigrant communities are highly encouraged to apply!)
