    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Academic Program Manager, the Psychology Program Assistant/College Assistant will support administrative and academic operations for the BA and MA programs and will perform the following duties:

    • Serve as informed in-office admissions contact for prospective students and assist with recruitment activities
    • Develop program communications to students and faculty
    • Coordinate program web and print material updates
    • Assist with record-keeping for the program related to tracking student progress toward degree, updating faculty files, and maintaining program documents and document repositories
    • Participate in end-of-semester academic review and perform needed follow-up with student records
    • Support program development, student service delivery, outcome evaluation and instructor/student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and other projects as assigned
    • Assist with coordination of events targeted to the BA and MA students

    Preferred Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience providing administrative support in a higher education setting
    • Ability to be detail oriented, address concurrent issues and adapt easily to changing priorities
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel; ability to easily learn new software
    • Strong writing, reporting, editing and verbal communication skills

    Compensación

    CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification. Employees are also offered pension and Tax-Deferred Savings Plans. Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
