    Descripción

    The position reports to the CEO. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Plans, develops, operates, and evaluates facility-wide programs related to quality assurance and risk management.
    • Maintains communication with OPWDD regulatory and accrediting agencies regarding changes in standards, strategic approaches, and program compliance.
    • Provides information to facility director, residential services and professional services directors, and hospital administrator on monitoring programs, level of compliance with relevant standards, and effectiveness of quality enhancement programs.
    • Analyzes risks and develops remediation plans and proactive approaches for DQI. Writing plans of corrective actions and ensuring corrections are implemented as noted.
    • Chairs quality assurance committee participates on, chairs, and/or directs committees related to quality assurance or risk management (e.g., infection control, human rights, safety, medical records).
    • Directs investigations on incidents, analyzes results, and recommends remediation plans. Maintain IRMA system for incident Management. This includes delegating and/or assisting assigned investigators in completing investigations. Submitting the completed investigation findings to the CEO and ensuring directives/remediation are maintained.
    • Provides consultation in the development of administration policies and procedures.
    • Provides consultation to community programs regarding quality assurance and risk management.
    • Conduct New Employee Orientation for all New Staff, CPR/First Aid Training/SCIP-R Training.
    • Schedule and maintain records of all OPWDD required Training for Staff (CPR/First Aid, SCIP-R, Choking Prevention, Incident Reporting, etc.)
    • Develop & implement training curriculum as needed.
    • Assisting in the screening process for Individuals at LAC for Residential Vacancies. That includes reviewing CRO packets.
    • Conduct and schedule Zoom meetings for any screenings, staff meetings, special meetings.
    • Complete CON's and LOI's for openings of new developments, relocations, capacity increases, closures of programs.
    • Physical Plant inspections of all facilities as needed.
    • Review of all binders of all individuals for both Day-Program and Residential to ensure continuity of care is being maintained.
    • Attend fairs, meetings for Brooklyn DD Council as needed.
    • Attend Inter Agency Council Meetings (QA, Training Directors, Membership etc.) to represent CEO for elections.
    • Attend LAC Board meetings for periodic presentations, including annual Compliance training.
    • Ensure proper compliance with EHR (Therap) operation.
