    Descripción

Established in 2009, TAT began with a simple, yet powerful, belief: every truck driver can be a crucial ally in the fight against human trafficking. Today, TAT is an international, non-profit organization that educates, equips, empowers and mobilizes members of key industries and agencies to combat human trafficking. To accomplish its mission, TAT partners with the trucking, truck stop, motorcoach, transit, school transportation and energy industries, as well as law enforcement and government agencies throughout North America, to activate their workforces to prevent and disrupt human trafficking. To date, TAT has trained over 2.5 million people and established public and private sector partnerships in 50 U.S. states and eight Canadian provinces and territories. TAT works alongside industry leaders, who become force multipliers to spread awareness about human trafficking to their employees and within the communities in which they live and work.

TAT is seeking a passionate leader who can expand TAT’s reach within the transportation industry across Canada. The program manager will garner new partners for TAT in Canada, manage some existing Canadian industry relationships, represent TAT at industry events to give informative and inspirational presentations, collaborate with fellow team members on vision-casting and implementation, and work with a multitude of contacts to take TAT’s work in Canada to the next level. Additionally, this position will be responsible for tracking impact data across TAT’s work in Canada, compiling impact reports and building a portfolio of corporate sponsors.

The Canada Program Manager will join a dynamic team of passionate, dedicated and hardworking individuals who advance TAT’s efforts within the transportation and energy industries. Industry experience is a plus but not required. Integrity, empathy and the inclination to be a team player are essential.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Program Growth – External
      • Develop relationships with key transportation industry stakeholders in Canada to create new opportunities for launching or augmenting human trafficking initiatives within their companies.

      • Travel and attend industry events throughout Canada to share information about TAT’s programs, free training resources and engagement opportunities. Events may include conferences, association events, safety meetings, industry-wide events, private corporate events, etc., with TAT’s role typically involving public speaking/training facilitation.
      • Present on webinars and participate in virtual meetings with partners and prospects.
      • Represent TAT to the media.
      • Develop and retain donors (corporate, foundation and individuals) to sustain and expand TAT’s work in Canada.
    • Program Management – Internal
      • Coordinate an internal team of TAT staff with public and private sector responsibilities and ongoing partnerships in Canada, including by facilitating monthly team meetings, collecting input for TAT’s quarterly Canada-focused newsletter, helping to plan and host TAT Coalition Builds in Canada, and guiding the creation of new human trafficking awareness resources designed for Canadian audiences.
      • Provide strategic consultation on all aspects of TAT’s work in Canada.
      • Lead the development of a strategic plan for Canada in coordination with colleagues, supervisor and TAT’s Executive Director.
