    About Renovation Alliance

Since 1999, Renovation Alliance has been dedicated to rebuilding safe and healthy homes for neighbors in need in the Roanoke Valley area. Our mission is to mobilize community compassion and skilled labor to provide free, critical home repairs for homeowners living on limited incomes with a focus on older adults, individuals with disabilities, and single adult households with children. By coordinating volunteers and professional contractors, we transform nearly 100 homes annually to restore dignity and peace-of-mind, preserve existing affordable housing, create opportunities for neighbors to age-in-place, and revitalize communities.

    The Role

The Executive Director (ED) serves as the visionary leader and primary face of the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for the overall strategic direction, financial health, and operational success of Renovation Alliance. • Strategic Leadership & Vision: Develop and implement a long-range strategic plan for the organization.
      • Fundraising & Development: Spearhead diversified revenue streams, including grant writing, individual donor cultivation, and signature events like "Renovation Celebration".
      • Operations & Program Oversight: Effectively participate as one-third of RA’s
      • leadership triad (along with the Director of Operations and Director of Construction) to ensure operational excellence within RA’s programs.
      • Community Engagement & Communication: Serve as the chief spokesperson, building relationships with local governments, corporate sponsors, and faith-based organizations to recruit partners, increase awareness of RA and its mission, and secure funding.
      • Financial Management: Oversee the annual budget and cultivate financial stability. Work alongside the Director of Operations to ensure rigorous financial reporting and compliance.
