Our mission is to advocate for policies that protect reproductive rights, provide comprehensive education and resources, and support communities in need. We believe in a holistic approach to reproductive justice that includes the right to have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities. We work tirelessly to dismantle systemic barriers and promote social justice, health equity, and human rights.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about reproductive justice, has a knack for social media, and wants to make a meaningful impact. As a Social Media Intern, you will assist in creating and curating content, engaging with our online community, and helping to amplify our mission and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and schedule engaging content for our social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
• Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns.
• Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and posts.
• Collaborate with the Executive Team Assistant to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
• Support the creation of visual content, including graphics and videos.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for reproductive justice and commitment to the mission of The Tubman Travel Initiative.
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Compensation:

• This is a paid internship with a stipend of $500 per month.
• Additional benefits include flexible working hours and remote work options.
• Potential for academic credit, if applicable.
• Networking opportunities within the nonprofit and reproductive justice communities.
