    About MoMA HR:

    MoMA’s Human Resources is responsible for supporting the institution’s mission through the successful sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, training and ongoing development of staff and interns.

    Position summary:

    The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Benefits Analyst who will serves as the first point of contact to employees to answer/resolve a variety of benefits-related questions and issues.

    The Analyst also supports the Assistant Director of Benefits with the implementation and management of all benefits programs.

    Additional responsibilities include:

    Manages leave of absence (LOA) programs (disability, FMLA, PFL, personal, worker’s compensation), including communicating with employees, their managers, and Payroll, tracking claims, notifying unions, and completing necessary paperwork and reports. Acts as liaison between employee, payroll, and insurance carriers.

    Creates and maintains LOA processes and communications.

    Processes benefit enrollments (new hire, life event, termination) in HRIS.

    Reports benefit deduction adjustments to the Payroll and ensures that correct deductions are taken from paychecks.

    Configures new benefit options in HRIS.

    Creates and runs reports to self-audit data entry.

    Ensures accurate billing and reconciliation of all benefits-related invoices, serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.

    Reviews error reports from vendors and HRIS and makes corrections as necessary.

    Reviews and processes various employee reimbursements in compliance with Museum policy or union contracts, ensuring that employees are reimbursed in a timely manner.

    Coordinates all logistics for various employee “perks”, including annual flu shots, staff discounts, wellness fair, etc.

    Presents group benefit orientations on a monthly basis to all eligible new employees ensuring that they understand all plan provisions and that elections are made and processed in a timely manner.

    Organizes and runs Open Enrollment meetings.

    Provides general reporting support for the HRIS.

    Manages benefits updates on Staff Site.

    Assists Assistant Director, Benefits with various projects.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources, and five or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent, with a minimum of three years of experience managing leaves of absence.

    Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Strong Excel and analytical skills are critical.

    Experience working with HRIS databases, ideally UKG.

    Great written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail required. Strong customer service orientation.

    Flexibility to deal with unexpected employee situations.

    Strong sense of initiative.

    Salary range: Minimum of $80,000 to maximum of $93,000 per annum
