    Descripción

Raise The Barr is a 2Gen program led by a 2Gen team on a mission to maximize the potential of every individual.

Co-Founded by NFL linebacker Anthony Barr and his mother Lori Barr in 2016, Raise the Barr is committed to increasing opportunity and economic mobility for single-parent students in Minnesota and California by providing them with the holistic resources they need to complete their education, including resources they need for their children to thrive. Promoting college success among student-parents is critical to improving racial, ethnic, and gender equity in higher education access.

Raise the Barr places single-parent students at the center of our work, and as such identifies every opportunity to elevate their voices in advocacy work and to advise the leadership team.

The Managing Director of Whole Family Programming plans and oversees the day-to-day programming and engagement with our single-parent scholars, coaching and guiding the programming team.

    Position Summary

The Managing Director of Whole Family Programming oversees the planning and execution of day-to-day programming that supports single-parent scholars and their children. Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer (CIO), this role ensures high-quality, responsive support for scholars while maintaining clear systems for documentation, evaluation, and program effectiveness.

The Managing Director provides direct leadership to a six-person programming team, coaching and guiding staff to succeed in their roles. They are responsible for overseeing program implementation in Minnesota and California, tracking program impact, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This includes supervising scholar data collection, implementing evaluation strategies, and fostering relationships with partners to expand scholar access to essential resources.

This role is primarily remote, with occasional evening and weekend hours. A flexible schedule is provided to balance these non-traditional hours. Occasional travel to other RTB locations (Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis) is required for partner development, team building, shared learning, and collaboration with RTB leadership and staff.
