About Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA)

Established in 1952, the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) is the only nationwide organization solely dedicated to serving people affected by Myasthenia Gravis and related disorders. We serve diverse stakeholders including MG patients and family members, scientists and clinicians, national and community volunteers, donors, sponsors, fundraisers, and industry partners.

    About the Opportunity

MGFA is seeking a seasoned, mission-driven professional to serve as the National Director of Strategic Partnerships. This role is pivotal in driving national corporate partnerships, securing transformational funding, and cultivating long-term collaborations that directly accelerate progress toward a world without MG.

Reporting to the National Senior Director, Development, you’ll be responsible for building and managing a six-figure corporate portfolio, amplifying MGFA’s brand visibility on the national stage, and engaging community stakeholders through authentic, mission-aligned partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, this leader will serve as both architect and ambassador of MGFA’s partnership strategy, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure every partnership delivers measurable impact for both MGFA and its partners.

What we look for at MGFA

    • Mission-Driven Closer – Genuine passion for advancing MGFA’s mission, with a proven ability to turn that passion into transformational partnerships that accelerate progress for the MG community.
    • Relationship Builder & Steward – Skilled at cultivating trust across Fortune 500 boardrooms, healthcare stakeholders, and grassroots communities alike; able to sustain long-term partnerships through authentic engagement and stewardship.
    • Strategic Revenue Driver – Capacity to design and execute partnership strategies that balance immediate revenue wins with multi-year growth pipelines, ensuring both stability and expansion.
    • Collaborative Integrator – Works seamlessly across teams and time zones to ensure every partnership delivers mutual value and aligns with organizational priorities.
    • Independent Operator with Executive Presence – Confident navigating ambiguity, negotiating at the highest levels, and representing MGFA nationally while also managing details with precision and accountability.
    • Creative Problem-Solver – Brings an entrepreneurial lens to building unique partnership packages and engagement opportunities, ensuring both innovation and measurable ROI.

What We’re Looking For in This Role

    Mission Impact Focus

    • Primary Purpose: Secure and steward national corporate partnerships that expand MGFA’s revenue and community impact.
    • Vision Alignment: Cultivate innovative, multi-year partnerships that fuel research, programs, and advocacy while elevating MGFA’s presence as the leading voice in the MG community.

    Core Capabilities

    • Strategic Partnership Leadership: Build and execute a multi-year corporate partnership strategy; identify, pitch, and close high-value sponsorships and cause-marketing opportunities ($660K+ annual target).
    • Revenue & Brand Amplification: Use metrics and storytelling to sustain partner confidence, expand pipelines, and increase national visibility (~15% travel).
    • Community Engagement & Stewardship: Steward relationships with corporate partners, healthcare providers, volunteers, and community leaders to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.
    • Operational Excellence: Leverage CRM (Virtuous, Classy, or similar) to forecast revenue, manage pipelines, and produce accurate reports for leadership and board review.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Corporate Revenue Generation: Deliver a minimum of $660K in annual corporate revenue, with year-over-year growth targets.
    • Pipeline Development & Management: Build and maintain a healthy 12–18 month pipeline with balanced near- and long-term opportunities.
    • Strategic Partner Design & Execution: Develop custom proposals aligned to partner needs and MGFA’s mission; oversee execution of partnership deliverables.
    • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Programs, Research, Finance, and MarComms to integrate partnerships into MGFA’s broader strategy.
    • Brand & National Presence: Represent MGFA at national events and conferences to elevate visibility and credibility with key audiences.
    • Relationship Stewardship: Manage, renew, and expand existing corporate relationships through transparent reporting and donor-centered practices.
    • Ethical & Inclusive Fundraising: Model MGFA’s values of transparency, accountability, and inclusion in all partnership activity.
