Our energy system is on the brink of a major transformation, and we're looking for someone to help us ensure this new system puts rooftop solar energy at the cornerstone!

    About Us!

Solar United Neighbors (SUN) is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit that started more than 15 years ago with a simple question. "Mom, can we go solar?" Since then, we've helped tens of thousands of people benefit from solar energy. We are dedicated to creating a clean, equitable, resilient energy system that benefits everyone - by helping people go solar, join together, and fight for their energy rights.

    About the Position

The Switch Together Partner Director will be responsible for ensuring the success of Switch Together programs in their assigned region, while also supporting the strategic growth and direction of the overall Switch Together joint initiative with iChoosr. This role will lead across three key areas: Program Operations, Business Development, Program Building and Expansion, and Media Engagement.

In the area of Program Operations, the Director will provide comprehensive support and guidance to State Directors (SDs). By ensuring operational excellence, they will contribute directly to the success and continuous improvement of Switch Together programs across the region.

Building on this foundation, the Director will also lead efforts in Program Building and Expansion. Growing and strengthening the existing Switch Together network is critical for the long-term impact of the initiative. Through targeted strategies to foster partnerships and boost program participation, the Director will play a central role in expanding the program's reach and accelerating the adoption of solar energy in the region.

In addition, the Director will oversee Media Engagement strategies alongside the MarComms Team that elevate the visibility of the program. By driving public awareness and engagement, the Director will support greater program adoption and strengthen the program's overall impact.

This position reports to the VP of Go Solar Programs or the Director of Go Solar Programs, and collaborates closely with the Go Solar national lead for Switch Together programming.

How to Apply: If you think this job might be for you, please apply on our job board! Be sure to include a cover letter and a resume.

    Job responsibilities include:

    • Oversee this region's program, ensuring its alignment with overall Switch Together objectives and strategies including coordinating collaboration across SUN state programs and regional partners.
    • Provide technical and logistical support for the program, including supporting Switch Together data integrations and related reporting in Salesforce.
    • Proactively identify potential programmatic and technical issues as they arise and address them in a timely manner with iChoosr and SUN teams, ensuring smooth program execution, and offering feedback on program performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Establish quantitative goals, metrics, and work plans for each region to assess the efficacy of Switch Together programs in coordination with SDs and regional team.
    • Monitor progress towards the Switch Together program's goals and support as necessary to keep programs on track.
