The Social Media Contractor at the National School Choice Awareness Foundation, Inc. (NSCAF) plays a key role in supporting the organization’s programs, including Navigate School Choice and Conoce tus Opciones Escolares (CTOE).
This role supports the development and execution of social media content across platforms, helping translate complex education topics into clear, engaging, and accessible content for families. The position requires strong video editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple content streams in a collaborative environment.
Primary responsibilities of this position include:
Content Creation & Video Editing
- Edit short-form and long-form video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Create engaging, platform-specific content that aligns with campaign goals and messaging
- Adapt and repurpose existing content into different formats (Reels, Shorts, Stories, etc.)
Copywriting & Captions
- Write clear, engaging captions in English and Spanish
- Ensure tone and messaging are consistent across platforms and aligned with organizational priorities
Social Media Management
- Support the development and maintenance of the social media calendar
- Schedule and publish content across platforms
- Monitor comments, messages, and interactions, and support community engagement
Influencer & Content Support
- Support outreach and coordination with influencers and content collaborators
- Contribute ideas for content formats and trends
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 3–5+ years of experience in social media content creation and/or digital marketing
- Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar tools)
- Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Strong writing skills for captions and social media copy
- Experience managing social media calendars and publishing workflows
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience working in education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations
- Experience with influencer coordination or content partnerships
- Must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Iowa, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, or Virginia.
