    Descripción

    The Wildlife Admissions Specialist is the first point of contact at a wildlife rehabilitation center. This person is responsible for wildlife intake, educating callers, and administrative support. Duties include gathering information from finders, maintaining accurate records, processing donations, and managing donor communications. This role also works closely with the Executive Director to coordinate scheduling, supply orders, fundraising events, and other administrative operations.

    Essential Functions:

      • Triage wildlife cases over the phone to determine next steps
      • Maintain records and logs (phone calls, admissions, donor contributions)
      • Process POS transactions and merchandise sales
      • Record donations in CRM system (eTapestry)
      • Respond to email inquiries
      • Assist with ordering medications and supplies
      • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems
      • Operate basic office equipment
      • Assist Executive Director as needed with special projects and fundraisers

    Required Experience:

      • Demonstrated experience in customer service
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Canva
      • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
      • Experience with nonprofit donor (CRM) & event tracking software

    Knowledge & Skills:

      • Flexible, self-motivated, and proactive in recognizing needed tasks
      • Excellent people skills; thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
      • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and balance multiple responsibilities
      • Highly organized and detail oriented
      • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
      • Works in a humane, responsible, and professional manner
      • Knowledge of Washington wildlife species and interest in animal welfare
      • Positive attitude and a good sense of humor!

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must be willing to work weekends—our facility operates 7 days a week
    • This role is for 30 hours per week. Schedule will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for 10-hour shifts. Spring/Summer hours 7:30 a.m - 6:00 p.m. & Fall/Winter hours 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

    Benefits:

    Sick leave in accordance with WA state law, PTO, health and dental benefits, holidays

    Salary: $21.00/hour
