WHO WE ARE: FRESHFARM is a 501c3 tax-exempt organization with a mission of creating a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food system in the Mid-Atlantic region. We fund our work through a combination of earned revenue, government grants, and donations from institutions and individuals. FRESHFARM operates the third-largest farmer’s market network in the country and engages with scores of paid Sponsors and Community Table partners to enrich and activate our 26 markets and farm stands. The Partnerships Manager helps FRESHFARM reach our earned revenue goals by generating revenue from corporations and small businesses, both through tabling at markets and through organizational sponsorships. The role also contributes to the creation of vibrant economic outlets for farmers by coordinating the participation of community tabling partners at markets.
WHO YOU ARE:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Partnerships Manager is a member of our Development Team and serves as the primary contact with mission-aligned organizational sponsors of FRESHFARM’s work and events, as well as business and community tabling partners participating at farmers markets across DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Through their work, they proactively promote and secure sponsorships from businesses that can benefit from exposure to FRESHFARM’s community of thousands of weekly shoppers and mission supporters:
- Sponsorship and Tabling Partner Relationship Management:
- Maintain positive mutually beneficial working relationships with sponsors, potential sponsors, and community partners
- Maintain accurate contact information and notes in the Development customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Business Tabling and Sponsorship Marketing and Sales:
- Manage FRESHFARM’s intake system for sponsorship and business tabling, publicize accurate pricing, scheduling, and application information for business tabling on the FRESHFARM website, and process new business tabling partner requests
- Proactively market and solicit business partnerships for FRESHFARM
- Manage data flow between Development and Finance for accounts receivable invoicing
- Community Tabling Management: Manage FRESHFARM’s intake system for community tabling partners: monitor and process requests, send approval/denial messages, onboard new partners, and ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct for market partners.
- Program Evaluation and Improvement: Report on sponsor and community partner satisfaction through surveys and other feedback mechanisms.

THE DETAILS:
- This is a full-time, exempt position compensated with an annual salary of $58,349.50 - $74,263, with a starting salary range of $58,349.50 - $63,000.
- This employee will typically work Monday - Friday during normal business hours, including two to three days a week in-person at the FRESHFARM office in downtown Washington, DC and/or on-site at various FRESHFARM farmers markets across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
- This role will require occasional weekend hours for client engagement and coordination at various FRESHFARM farmers markets.
- All full-time employees receive 11 annual holidays (8 hours each), 3 floating holidays per year, and accrue up to 73 hours of sick leave and 80 hours of annual vacation leave (with increases after 3 and 6 years of service). This role will also be eligible for 12 weeks of paid parental leave, 2 weeks of prenatal leave (through DC paid family leave), and 10 days of bereavement leave (as needed).
- Typically, FRESHFARM offices close for a 1-2 week winter break, which includes paid time-off for salaried employees.

PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work stationary at a computer AND/OR outdoors in all weather while moving about the farmers market worksites (including sitting, standing, and walking, for up to 4 hrs/day
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, in order to use the FRESHFARM office
- Must have access to a personal smartphone; $25/month stipend provided for use
