    Executive Director, Non-Profit Agency

    AGENCY OVERVIEW

    Yolo Community Care Continuum, (YCCC) is a non-profit community-based organization that has served individuals with a serious mental illness in Yolo and Placer Counties for the past 45 years. YCCC was started by local families who were seeking mental health services for their family members. YCCC has grown from this grass roots beginning to serving the needs of over 400 individual clients a year with crisis placements, transitional programs, crisis medical placements, and transitional and permanent housing.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Executive Director is the chief administrator of Yolo community Care Continuum and serves under the general direction of the Board of Directors. The Executive Director has authority in directing all aspects of the agency including fiscal, personnel, program, community relations, and funding developments. Implements strategic plans, develops agency resources, works closely with the Board of Directors.

    Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, nonprofit management, psychology, social work, or counseling).
      • Senior leadership experience in a nonprofit organization, government program, or nonprofit enterprise.
      • Demonstrated experience securing and managing funding, including grant writing and contract administration.
      • Ability to adapt programs to evolving funding requirements and community needs.
      • Strong representation and relationship‑building skills with community partners and funding entities.
      • Proven ability to remain composed and effective in high‑pressure situations.
      • Collaborative leadership style with experience working across community organizations.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software applications.
      • Ability to interpret and apply technical materials, regulations, and compliance requirements.

    Additional Requirements

    • Able to lift 20 pounds and trave
      • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
      • Successful completion of DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance and license verification.
      • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification prior to employment.

    Preferred Qualifications

      • Master’s degree.
      • Demonstrated expertise in mental health best practices and psychosocial rehabilitation.
      • Experience working with a Board of Directors.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as chief executive and administrator of the organization under the direction of the Board of Directors.
    • Provide overall leadership for agency operations, including finance, personnel, programs, community relations, and funding development.
    • Implement strategic plans and work collaboratively with the Board to advance organizational goals.
    • Oversee programs, ensuring high-quality services aligned with the strategic plan.
    • Lead personnel management for a staff of 70+ employees, including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and leadership develop-0ment.
    • Ensure financial sustainability by managing an annual budget exceeding $4 million, overseeing contracts and grants, expanding earned revenue, and leading fundraising efforts.
    • Maintain strong relationships with the Board, community partners, county and State agencies, and media.
    • Provide thought leadership to strengthen organizational reputation and elevate standards of service.
    • Foster a culture that promotes employee engagement, retention, and volunteer involvement.
    • Uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with HIPAA/HITECH requirements.
