    About TalkingPoints

TalkingPoints is an award-winning education technology non-profit organization with the mission to unlock the potential of low-income, underserved families to support their children’s learning by partnering with their children’s schools. We’re building a one-of-a-kind product in the market, a multilingual family engagement platform that connects families and teachers using human and artificial intelligence powered, two-way translated messages and personalized supports — eliminating language, time limitations, and know-how as barriers to school/family connection.

Millions of teachers and families are using TalkingPoints in their classrooms, schools and districts across the U.S. TalkingPoints works with key school district partners such as Seattle Public Schools, Boston Public Schools, Buffalo Public School, Wake County and NYC DOE. We have won awards from NYU, MIT, Google, Forbes and are backed by Google, Eric Schmidt, AT&T, Cisco, and Stanford University to name a few.

TalkingPoints is at a critical inflection point in the organization's growth. We continue to see exponential growth in both our user base and our own internal structure. It's an important time to join our team and build on our momentum and ability to support students and families during this critical time in which education equity gaps are more concerning than ever. The Opportunity

The Senior Content and Learning Manager (SCLM) is a cross-functional individual contributor and manager who bridges educational best practices, internal learning, external training, and strategic event representation. Reporting to the Director of Research, the SCLM plays a critical role in developing and scaling high-impact professional learning content that supports internal team development, partner engagement, lead generation, and retention. With deep expertise in family engagement and K-12 education, the SCLM leads professional development initiatives, creates compelling training and marketing content, and serves as a visible representative of TalkingPoints at national and regional events.

In addition to being a skilled educator and communicator, the SCLM is a strategic project and resource manager—overseeing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the success of learning initiatives. This role operates at both strategic and tactical levels, balancing responsibilities as an individual contributor with the ability to guide others and manage key programs. By blending training, content development, and thought leadership, the SCLM helps advance TalkingPoints’ mission and impact across school communities nationwide. This role is a temporary 12-month full-time position.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Lead facilitation of internal learning sessions, including recorded and asynchronous formats, in collaboration with department leads.
    • Adapt and implement the Unified Family Engagement (UFE) learning plan and guide into digestible, actionable learning experiences.

    Professional Development & Partner Engagement

    • Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 on-site and virtual PD to district partners and prospects.
    • Support and coach districts on deeper use of TalkingPoints and integration with family engagement strategies.
    • Facilitate virtual Communities of Practice for ongoing partner development.

    Event Strategy & Representation

    • Develop and submit session proposals for regional and national conferences.
    • Create compelling presentations and training materials for external audiences.
    • Represent TalkingPoints as a presenter at regional events, national conferences, and webinars.

    Marketing Collaboration

    • Co-develop session catalogs and marketing content (e.g., blogs, articles) for use in events and lead generation campaigns.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team to facilitate and present at webinars and mini-workshops.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on family engagement in K-12 education, contributing to internal and external thought leadership.

    Internal and External Knowledge Building

    • Present educational trends and market insights during internal forums like town halls and lunch-and-learns to inform and engage the broader team.
    • Co-manage and facilitate Research and Learning Advisory Council, helping to build internal expertise and external credibility.

    Who You Are

    • Minimum 5+ years of experience working in a medium to large K-12 public school district, ideally as part of a superintendent’s cabinet or similar leadership body.
    • Experience in educational technology and its application to improving student outcomes.
    • Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in training, professional development, or coaching roles, particularly in EdTech.
    • Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to a variety of internal and external audiences
    • Experience using AI tools for content creation, efficiency, and learning.
    • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects, timelines, and resources.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven.
    • Self-motivated and able to take initiative and work independently.
    • Relationship-builder comfortable engaging both internal teams and external stakeholders.

    • Advanced degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, or a related field.
    • Expert at using AI for learning and professional development creation
    • Deep knowledge of family engagement and school-home communication in K-12 settings.
