We are seeking a passionate and experienced Development Director in Northern California to elevate and broaden our fundraising efforts. The Development Director is a new position which will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that supports Cake4Kids’ mission and growth. This person will bring both strategy and action, leveraging existing programs and introducing new ones to expand individual giving, cultivate relationships with donors, corporations, and foundations, securing the resources we need to serve even more youth across the country.
Job Summary
The Development Director will focus on prospecting and cultivating new donors, managing and growing their donor portfolio, coordinating individual donor engagement and cultivating corporate relationships to secure funding. This is an exciting position for a strategy- and relationship-oriented professional to grow in their development career, work closely with all key organization stakeholders, and make a significant impact on Cake4Kids capacity to serve even more youth across the country.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL
This is a hybrid role, with occasional in-person work expectations in Northern California. All Cake4Kids staff works remotely, however this role requires you to be available for in-person events in the community and any donor meetings. The Development Director must be able to travel as needed for events and donor meetings, as well to staff/attend events outside of normal work hours, as needed (typically no more than 10%) and should be located in any Cake4Kids Chapter in Northern California.
