Organization: Meals on Wheels of Takoma Park/Silver Spring
Location: Takoma Park, MD
Compensation: $17/hour
Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday
Typical Hours: 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Occasional schedule adjustments may be required.)
Duration: June through mid August (flexible based on academic schedule)
About the Role
Meals on Wheels of Takoma Park/Silver Spring is seeking a paid summer intern to support outreach and food access efforts. This role focuses on expanding community impact through food recovery, partnerships, and engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Support gleaning efforts and food recovery from partners
- Assist with outreach events and community engagement
- Help track partnerships and food donations
- Assist with delivery routes and ride alongs
What You’ll Gain

A couple important things
- You will need access to a reliable car
- You should be comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout your shift
- Being on time and consistent matters for this role
