    Descripción

    We are seeking an experienced, organized, and collaborative professional to join our dynamic team as the Development & Marketing Manager. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys planning meaningful events, building strong community relationships, and creating engaging experiences that inspire others to give and stay connected to our mission.

    The Development & Outreach Manager will play a key role in expanding our fundraising efforts, with a strong focus on events, campaigns, and donor engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Fundraising Events

    • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events including the annual gala, 5K, and other donorfocused
    • events.
    • Manage event timelines, budgets, ticket sales, and logistics from concept through post-event follow-up.
    • Support sponsorship outreach, tracking, and fulfillment.
    • Oversee event communications including invitations, run-of-show, and donor acknowledgments.
    • Track and evaluate event performance and donor participation.

    Outreach & Community Engagement

    • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, corporate sponsors, volunteers, and individual donors.
    • Identify and secure new outreach and partnership opportunities.
    • Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and speaking engagements.
    • Help build and manage special campaigns to increase awareness and raise funds.

    Donor Development & Support

    • Provide operational support to the development department, contributing to strategic planning and process improvements. 
    • Lead process development and implementation of best practices in data management, reporting, and donor stewardship. 
    • Segment and manage mailing and email lists for targeted communications.
    • Support donor communications and engagement strategies.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, marketing, or related field. 
    • Demonstrated experience in development, marketing, and events, especially in a nonprofit setting. 
    • Experience in donor database management software
    • Knowledge of fundraising operations, donor stewardship, and nonprofit compliance best practices. 
    • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Canva or similar design software.
    • Ability to create short videos and capture stories using a smartphone is a plus.
    • Experience with fundraising event planning and donor engagement strategies. 
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Proactive, self-directed problem solver with strong initiative. 
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage diverse audiences, including board members, volunteers, staff, donors, and corporate partners.

    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. 

    Additional Information

    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
    • Hybrid work environment.
    • Ability to lift and manipulate up to 25 pounds.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Annual salary range $55,000 - $65,000, with opportunity for growth based on performance.
    • Health benefits are currently not provided. We do offer a 401(k) retirement plan with a 1% employer match, along with a generous vacation and holiday allowance.
