    Founded in 1980, Child Find of America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to locating missing children, preventing abduction, and supporting families through crisis intervention, education, and conflict resolution.

    We are seeking a compassionate, curious, and non-judgmental individual to provide phone-based case management support to protective parents whose children are missing or at risk of abduction.

    The successful applicant will be:

    • Team-oriented and diligent in adhering to agency protocol and best case practices
    • Comfortable engaging with individuals in crisis and conflict
    • Knowledgeable or have direct service experience with domestic violence, child abuse, child development, and family court
    • Skilled in research and investigation, both online and by phone
    • Patient and culturally sensitive
    • Able to manage a large and varied caseload
    • Attentive to detail and a critical thinker
    • Experienced in the development and delivery of professional development workshops. Candidates with an interest in developing proficiencies in this area will also be considered.
    • An effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills
    • Proficient in maintaining a shared database and cloud-based systems
    • Open to learning and professional development
    • Willing to travel occasionally
    • A college graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field; candidates without a degree will be considered if they have significant related experience

    Specific job duties include:

    • Engage callers in discussions about options aligned with the agency’s mission and best-case practice protocols
    • Research and identify appropriate resources for callers facing a range of challenges
    • Comprehensively assess and monitor cases for risks to child safety
    • Conduct searches and investigate circumstances, legal histories, and individuals involved in missing child cases
    • Collaborate with allied agencies and professionals to support case resolution
    • Participate in team case conferences to develop safe, sustainable, and effective outcomes
    • Conduct phone-based intakes for new callers, as needed
    • Document all case activity in case management software and maintain accurate call logs
    • Prepare case narratives highlighting successes and challenges for newsletters, social media, and outreach
    • Respond to helpline calls and emails
    • Provide administrative support as needed

    Benefits and Requirements:

    • A background check is required
    • This is an in-person hourly position, 35 hours/week, Monday through Friday
    • A hybrid schedule may be available after the initial six-month training period
