    We are seeking a talented and motivated full-time Senior Project Coordinator to work with the WeCare team on a randomized controlled trial: “Answering the Alarm: A System of Care for Black Youth at Risk for Suicide (WeCare).” This study, a collaboration between New York University, NYC Health and Hospitals, and the University of Michigan, aims to evaluate a system of care for youth that includes suicide risk screening as well as an intervention combining safety planning with strategies to improve access to mental health services. The ideal candidate will have the drive and desire to work and grow in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and work effectively on a collaborative team. The Senior Project Coordinator will work with a team of investigators and research staff, and report to the Project Director.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee day-to-day project administration, organization, and compliance with study protocols
    • Manage regulatory processes; draft and submit IRB documentation; maintain IRB communications; and report protocol deviations as required
    • Draft study progress reports, grant reports, and presentations
    • Organize and participate in weekly team meetings, including data, research, and clinical supervisory
    • Manage staff clearances within NYU and across affiliated hospital sites
    • Maintain study data in REDCap, Excel, and other electronic databases
    • Track follow-up survey progress and provide follow-up staff oversight
    • Help train and supervise project interns
    • Assist with on-site recruitment in an emergency department setting
    • Maintain inventory of study supplies across sites
    • Assist with other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Project Director

    Qualifications:

    • BA/BS in a related field (required) with 3+ years of research experience; MA/MS in Social Work, Public Health, or Psychology (preferred)
    • Prior experience as a Research Assistant or similar role, with an understanding of research implementation
    • Experience working directly with study participants and supporting recruitment
    • Proficiency in data management and analysis tools such as REDCap, Excel, SPSS, SAS, Stata, or R
    • Excellent administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills
    • Interest in or commitment to mental health, adolescent health and well-being, family supports, and community-based research
