Fundraising & Development Consultant

BGCBA seeks a skilled and mission-driven Fundraising & Development Consultant to support the organization’s development goals. This part-time contract position will focus on cultivating donor relationships, organizing giving campaigns and events, and supporting fundraising strategies that help sustain and grow our youth programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement creative and mission-aligned fundraising strategies
• Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations
• Coordinate donor communications, appeals, and acknowledgement processes
• Support planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events
• Assist in donor data tracking and reporting using spreadsheets or CRM tools
• Collaborate with the Executive Director Board Chair and Resource Development Chair to develop and implement fundraising strategies

Contribute to storytelling and messaging that highlights BGCBA’s mission and impact

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, preferably with youth-serving or community organizations
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proven success in donor engagement, campaign coordination, or sponsorship development
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with donor databases or CRM tools is a plus
• Deep commitment to youth development and community engagement

Preferred:

• Experience with grassroots fundraising and event planning

Knowledge of Long Island’s philanthropic landscape
