    Descripción

    The Associate Director (AD) of STEM Programming supports the Executive Director in advancing OIC of America’s national STEM strategy under the Sullivan Training Network. This position ensures operational excellence, quality assurance, and program execution across all sites. The AD leads community partnership engagement under the direction of the ED, supports the volunteer ecosystem, and manages program operations, ensuring STEM programming is delivered consistently, effectively, and in alignment with OICA’s national standards.

    This leader also ensures the consistent design and execution of replicable, grade-appropriate STEM curriculum across all programs, including STEM Saturdays, STEM Fests, and experiential events. The AD will also manage STEM data and evaluation, ensuring measurement systems effectively track performance, inform strategy, and communicate impact to stakeholders.

    The AD will focus on overall program operations overseeing the operations team,. regional and local community partnerships and volunteer systems. They will be responsible for QA, curriculum alignment and evaluation oversight. The AD will manage national consistency and cross-functional coordination.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Operations and Quality Management (40%)

    • Oversee daily operations for national STEM programming, ensuring fidelity to OICA’s core STEM model (STEM Saturdays, STEMFest, Mathletes, etc.).
    • Responsible for oversight of program content and ensures content and curriculum meet national office standards for population impact.
    • Manage staff, schedules, budgets, and logistics to ensure smooth program delivery across multiple regions.
    • Maintain program reporting systems, ensuring timely data collection, analysis, and performance tracking.
    • Oversee and support the development and execution of high-impact STEM curriculum that aligns with workforce preparation and postsecondary pathways.
    • Develops reporting dashboards and is responsible for STEM data strategy, collection and analysis. Responsible for the Quality Assurance of data.
    • Implement and fully leverage sponsorships and ensure brand visibility.

    Community Partnerships and Engagement (40%)

    • Cultivate and manage partnerships with community organizations, schools, and affiliates to expand regional participation and engagement.
    • Oversees the volunteer strategy design, operating systems that support the strategy design and develops recognition program that celebrates the volunteers.
    • Serve as the liaison between local partners and OICA’s national office, ensuring consistent communication, brand alignment, and program delivery.
    • Support the ED in the development of volunteer relationships, community sponsorships, and in-kind contributions to strengthen local networks.
    • Affiliate support Model: Manage and implement Affiliate support model as STEM expands into regions.

    Support to Executive Director (20%)

    • Collaborate closely with the ED to align community-based engagement with national corporate partnership goals.
    • Assist with preparing reports, decks, and talking points for funders, corporate sponsors, and stakeholders.
    • Provide operational and logistical support for national volunteer engagement initiatives and sponsorship activation.
    • Manage internal cross-functional coordination between Development, Communications, and STN operational teams.
    • Under the direction of the ED, build a centralized performance framework connecting data to funder reporting

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in program operations, partnership management, or volunteer coordination.
    • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience working in education, STEM, or workforce development programs preferred.
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Deep commitment to equity, access, and community-driven impact.

    Compensation:

    The salary range for this position is $115-128k based on a 37.5-hour work week for this exempt position. Salary offered may vary depending on relevant factors as determined by OIC of America, which may include, but are not limited to, background and experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, certifications and licensures internal salary ranges, geographic location and other organizational needs.

    ADA Specifications:

    • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
    • Ability to learn/translate/refer to technical material and produce extensive written communications.
    • Ability to travel to external meetings both locally and nationally, including periodic overnight travel.
    • Normal work requires frequent use of the telephone and computer (monitor, keyboard, mouse).
    • Ability to be mobile at meetings and events.
    • May be required to move about frequently in the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, attend meetings, etc.
    • May require standing/sitting for prolonged periods of time during meetings and conferences.
    • Must be able to communicate in large gatherings and conduct information sessions with technology so others will understand.
