Oregon Just Transition Alliance (OJTA) is a movement of communities facing environmental racism, climate change, and economic exploitation, by and for people on the frontlines of injustice and the frontlines of change. Position overview:
As the alliance manager at OJTA, you will play a key role in building capacity for the organization’s work. You will be responsible for strategically growing and engaging OJTA’s alliance, as well as engaging with a number of partners and coalition members outside of OJTA’s formal alliance on key OJTA campaigns. You will organize existing members of the OJTA coalition by deepening long-standing relationships and increasing coalition members’ levels of engagement. You will also create and nurture positive relationships between OJTA and new potential organizational coalition members, as well as relevant community thought leaders throughout Oregon. You will work closely with the deputy directors and executive director and collaborate with other staff members to ensure the growth of the coalition. Your primary responsibilities will encompass outreach, coalition communications, alliance communications, advocacy, and event planning.

Candidate must be based in Oregon within three months of hiring. This position is about 80% work-from-home, as all staff are expected to occasionally attend in-person monthly staff meetings, fundraising events, and retreats that are held across the state. Laptop provided. Phone and internet stipend provided. Travel expenses are 100% covered.
This is a salaried, exempt, full-time position. The annual salary range for the alliance manager $60,000 - $75,000 Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance at no cost to the employee; 401k plan with up to 5% matching contribution; an annual office closure for summer and winter (three weeks total), four weeks paid vacation, 14 holidays, 12 paid sick days a year, and five (5) paid well-being hours weekly.
