Background and Position Overview
Beyond Bedtime (formerly Pajama Program) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2001. Our mission is to help children discover and experience the superpower of sleep, so they can wake up ready to thrive. We believe that a comforting bedtime routine and healthy sleep are the foundation for brighter days and stronger futures.
Rooted in our core values of equity, impact, and community, we focus on reaching children experiencing poverty in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. We do this by:
- Distributing new pajamas and storybooks through more than 4,000 community-based partners, including shelters, foster care agencies, Head Start programs, and Title I schools.
- Engaging a national network of volunteer Chapter Presidents to help coordinate local donations and outreach.
- Welcoming children to our Centers in New York City and Atlanta, both virtually and in person, for hands-on experiences.
- Delivering sleep health education programs to children, caregivers, and educators.
