Children, Youth & Family Minister

The Children, Youth, and Family Minister at St. John’s is a part-time position reporting to the Rector. The CYF Minister envisions, leads, and manages the Christian Formation of our youngest members and their families. At John’s our goal is that every child and family be welcomed into a loving, supportive community where they are all provided with the Good News of Jesus Christ in ways appropriate to their age and stage of life.

The CYF Minister collaborates with families and staff to develop the program offerings that best serve our youngest members and their families. Because we believe that faith formation happens in the church and in the home the CYF Minister will work to equip families with the materials and the skills they need to be helper-guides to their children as they develop a relationship with Jesus. The CYF Minister will be a diligent, responsible, creative problem solver who works collaboratively, takes initiative, communicates with clarity, refrains from gossip or triangulation, aligns with the mission and values of the church, and is detail-oriented. Music competency is a plus.
